Daraa, southern Syria– At least four people were killed and several others wounded on Tuesday in clashes between Israeli forces and residents of a village in the Yarmouk Basin region of Daraa province, southern Syria, according to local sources.
The incident occurred when Israeli forces launched a cross-border incursion into the village of Koya in western Daraa. According to sources, the Israeli troops forcibly expelled residents from their homes, triggering violent confrontations. Reports indicate that heavy artillery shelling by Israeli tanks accompanied the raid, intensifying the situation.

This latest escalation is part of a broader pattern of Israeli military activity in the region, with ongoing operations increasing pressure on local populations who are already grappling with difficult humanitarian conditions.
Continued Israeli Operations in Southern Syria
Last Wednesday, Israeli forces carried out another incursion in the southwestern Syrian provinces of Quneitra and Daraa.
Local sources told +963 that an Israeli military convoy consisting of approximately 50 armored vehicles and troops advanced into the village of Al-Adnaniyah in southern Quneitra. Simultaneously, another Israeli unit raided the northern Quneitra town of Jbatha Al-Khashab, conducting house-to-house searches. The reason behind these operations remains unclear, but they have caused widespread fear among the local population.

Additionally, Israeli soldiers, backed by tanks and bulldozers, pushed into the buffer zone between the towns of Al-Asha and Al-Rafid in southern Quneitra. Witnesses reported Israeli forces moving along the Al-Rafid road up to the Al-Nasiriya junction, accompanied by approximately 15 military vehicles.
Israeli troops also demolished the “Abu Darwish” military outpost near the village of Al-Nasiriya, located at the administrative border between Quneitra and Daraa. They subsequently established positions within the outpost and a former Russian military base in the area.
