Damascus, Syria– The Syrian Foreign Ministry has condemned Israel’s recent airstrikes on Damascus, Homs, and Hama, denouncing them as a blatant violation of international law and Syria’s sovereignty.
In a statement, the ministry declared: “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates strongly condemns the latest wave of Israeli aggression against Syria, which constitutes a flagrant violation of international law and Syrian sovereignty.”
The statement further detailed that “Israeli forces launched airstrikes on five different locations across Syria within a span of 30 minutes, resulting in the near-total destruction of Hama Military Airport and injuring dozens of civilians and military personnel.”

The ministry described the escalation as “a deliberate attempt to destabilize Syria and prolong the suffering of its people,” adding that “these attacks are part of Israel’s broader strategy to normalize violence, undermining early recovery efforts and fostering a culture of impunity.”
It called on the international community and the United Nations to take “immediate action to stop the Israeli escalation and prevent further violations.”
Meanwhile, the Israeli military announced on Thursday that it had “eliminated a number of militants” during an overnight operation in the town of Tasil, located in Syria’s southern Daraa province.
In a statement, the Israeli army said: “Last night, our forces conducted an operation in Tasil, seizing weapons and destroying terrorist infrastructure.” The statement added that Israeli troops came under fire and responded with ground and airstrikes, killing several militants.
In a related development, the Israeli newspaper Maariv reported that Israel is set to hold a high-level security meeting to discuss Turkey’s presence in Syria.

Attending the meeting will be Defense Minister Israel Katz, Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir, and senior military officials. Notably absent is Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who is currently visiting Hungary.
According to Maariv, “Israel perceives Ankara’s efforts to establish a permanent military presence in Syria with the approval of the new regime as a threat to regional stability.”
On Wednesday, Israeli warplanes launched a series of airstrikes targeting military installations of the ousted Syrian regime in Damascus, Hama, and Homs.
A Syrian military source told +963 that Israeli jets carried out over 18 airstrikes on Hama Military Airport and its surrounding areas in central Syria, while also striking the T4 Airbase in eastern Homs.
Additionally, Israeli warplanes targeted the Scientific Research Center in Barzeh, Damascus, though no casualties were reported, according to a +963 correspondent in the capital.
In Daraa province, our reporter stated that an Israeli military convoy, supported by dozens of armored vehicles, stormed the Jabaliya Dam forest area west of Nawa city, opening heavy fire.
Later, the Israeli army confirmed in a statement that its fighter jets had struck two airbases and multiple military infrastructure sites in Damascus, Hama, and Homs. An Israeli source added that “the airstrikes send a message to Turkey.”
