Quneitra, southwest Syria – Early Wednesday morning, Israeli forces carried out a limited incursion in Syria’s southwestern Quneitra Governorate.

According to our correspondent, the Israeli military deployed near the eastern village of Samadaniyah in central Quneitra and established checkpoints in the area.

The Syrian state news agency, SANA, reported that a three-vehicle Israeli force set up a checkpoint near the damaged water reservoir between Samadaniyah al-Sharqiyah and the town of Al-Ajraf in Quneitra countryside.

SANA added that Israeli forces inspected passersby before withdrawing from the area approximately 30 minutes later.

Earlier, on Sunday, Israeli Army spokesperson Avichay Adraee stated that “Brigade 226 forces under the command of Division 210 have been carrying out defensive operations in southern Syria over the past two months.”
