Daraa, southern Syria
Israeli warplanes launched airstrikes on military targets in the city of Izraa, located in the central countryside of Daraa province, southern Syria. According to local sources speaking to +963, the strikes targeted the headquarters of the Syrian Army’s 12th Brigade, resulting in a series of powerful explosions that were heard across the surrounding areas.
The airstrikes, reportedly four in total, caused significant destruction to ammunition depots and military structures within the brigade’s compound. Ambulances were seen rushing to the scene, though there are no confirmed reports on casualties or injuries at this time.

In addition to targeting the 12th Brigade, Israeli warplanes also struck officer housing units in Izraa, carrying out two separate air raids that inflicted severe material damage but did not result in reported casualties.
Earlier the same day, an Israeli airstrike hit a military site in the city of Daraa, reportedly killing two individuals and injuring 19 others, according to Syria’s state news agency, SANA.
These attacks come amid escalating military operations in southern Syria, with this being the second Israeli airstrike on Daraa within 24 hours. Earlier strikes targeted the 32nd Tank Brigade in Daraa city, igniting fires and causing secondary explosions as stored munitions detonated.

The latest wave of Israeli strikes follows a statement by Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz, who recently confirmed that Israeli forces had targeted 40 military sites in southern Syria as part of ongoing operations. Gallant emphasized that Israel aims to maintain control over the so-called “safe zone” near the Golan Heights and ensure it remains demilitarized.
Katz stated that “Tel Aviv will maintain its control over the safe zone and Mount Hermon, ensuring that the safe zone in southern Syria remains demilitarized,” according to reports from Hebrew media. Katz added that the Israeli army is preparing for an indefinite presence in Syria, emphasizing that “Tel Aviv is committed to ensuring the safety of the Druze community in the region.”
According to a military source speaking to +963, Israeli aircraft conducted 17 additional airstrikes targeting locations in the towns of Jabab and Izraa in Daraa province. Reports indicate that seven of these strikes directly hit the 12th Brigade’s facilities, while multiple others struck the 89th Regiment near Jabab, leading to explosions and further damage.
These airstrikes mark a significant escalation in Israel’s military campaign in southern Syria, particularly following the fall of the previous Syrian regime in December.
