Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Kuwait, the Gulf Cooperation Council and Algeria have strongly condemned Israel’s bombing and incursion into the southern Syrian town of Kuya in the western countryside of Daraa on Tuesday, March 25.
In a statement, Saudi Arabia expressed its firm condemnation of the Israeli attack, emphasizing its unequivocal rejection of the occupation authorities’ attempts to undermine Syria’s security and stability.
The statement reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s solidarity with Syria in the face of what it described as an unjustified act of aggression. It also stressed “the need for the Security Council to fulfil its role, take a firm stance against Israeli violations in Syria and the region, and to activate international accountability mechanisms”.

Jordan’s Foreign Ministry also issued a statement denouncing the Israeli bombing of Daraa’s countryside, calling it a blatant violation of international law and an infringement on Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. The ministry further warned that the attack represented a serious escalation that would only fuel further conflict and tension in the region.
Jassem Al-Badaiwi, Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, criticized the Israeli military actions, stating that such aggression was part of Israel’s ongoing policy of destabilizing regional security. Al-Badiwi urged the international community to assume responsibility for halting these repeated attacks on Syrian territory and called for Israel’s withdrawal from all Syrian territory.
Kuwait’s Foreign Ministry echoed similar concerns in a statement on its official website. The ministry reiterated Kuwait’s stance that Syria’s sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity must be respected. It called on the Security Council to uphold its responsibility in maintaining international peace and security, while putting an end to what it described as Israel’s systematic and flagrant violations that threaten regional stability.
During a Security Council meeting on Syria on Tuesday, Algeria’s representative to the United Nations, Amar Benjama, warned of the “gravity of Israel’s repeated aggressions against Syrian territory”. He stressed that such attacks “further destabilize the security situation in the region”.
Meanwhile, the Syrian Foreign Ministry called for an international investigation into Israel’s military escalation in the south of the country. In a statement published on its official website, the ministry condemned Israel’s military actions, emphasizing the Syrian people’s right to defend their land in the face of continued aggressions.
According to local sources, clashes erupted on Tuesday, March 25, when Israeli forces stormed Kuya in the Yarmouk Basin area of western Daraa countryside, leading to the deaths of six people and injuries to others.
A local source told +963 that Israeli forces had evicted residents from their homes, which triggered violent confrontations between the local population and Israeli troops, resulting in deaths and injuries.
