A member of the former “National Defense” of the ousted regime was found dead on Friday, March 13, in the city of Palmyra, located in Homs’ eastern countryside, central Syria. A  local source told +963 that residents discovered the body of Abdullah al-Hani with multiple gunshot wounds.

According to the source, al-Hani had recently received threats from ISIS cells after he removed a banner that the group had placed at the entrance of the Yarmouk neighbourhood in Palmyra.

Elsewhere in  Deir ez-Zor, an SDF patrol raided the town of Khasham, arresting two members of the former National Defense Forces.

Earlier this week, several individuals who belong to the “Assad remnants” groups, were arrested by the SDF in  Deir ez-Zor. A military source told +963 that SDF patrols carried out a series of raids in Abu Hamam and Kashkiya in  Deir ez-Zor, leading to the arrest of three individuals affiliated with the ousted regime.
