Idlib, northwest Syria – One member of Syria’s Internal Security Forces was killed, and several others were wounded on Tuesday during clashes with an ISIS cell in the countryside of Idlib province, in northwest Syria, according to our correspondent.
Security forces engaged in an armed confrontation with ISIS militants in the town of Binnish, resulting in casualties among security personnel. Reinforcements were reportedly sent to the area to contain the situation.
In a separate incident, one person was killed when a drone strike targeted a vehicle near the village of Batbu, also in northern Idlib. According to our correspondent in Idlib, the drone is believed to belong to the U.S.-led international coalition against ISIS.

Last month, the British newspaper The Sun reported that a Royal Air Force (RAF) drone struck an ISIS member in northwest Syria. Citing the UK Ministry of Defence, the report said a £24 million Reaper drone targeted an ISIS militant riding a motorcycle in Sarmada, near the Turkish border, in June.
The RAF used a Hellfire missile to kill the suspected militant after confirming there were no civilians in the area, the source said. This was the second RAF drone strike targeting ISIS fighters in Syria this year; the first took place in February.
Meanwhile, Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) continue operations against ISIS remnants elsewhere in the country, recently dismantling an ISIS cell in Raqqa.
