Paris – France’s Foreign Ministry on Monday called for an immediate halt to fighting in Syria’s southern Suwayda province and welcomed the recently announced ceasefire agreement reportedly reached between Syria and Israel.
In a statement carried by Syria’s state-run news agency (SANA), the French Foreign Ministry said, “We welcome the announcement of a ceasefire in Suwayda and call for a resumption of dialogue to strengthen Syria’s unity, stability, and sovereignty.” The ministry urged all parties to fully respect the agreement and to refrain from any unilateral actions.
