Daraa, southwestern Syria – The Israeli army detained two young men on Sunday evening in the countryside of Daraa province, southwestern Syria, according to +963 correspondent.
The correspondent reported that the two were arrested in the village of Maariya, located in the Yarmouk Basin area near the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights. The Israeli army reportedly took them to an undisclosed location, and their fate remains unknown at the time of reporting.
This comes just a day after an Israeli military unit reportedly carried out an incursion in the village of Ruwaihana in Syria’s Quneitra province, also near the border with the Golan Heights. Local sources said Israeli forces raided several homes and fired warning shots during the operation.

Last Friday, Israeli troops also conducted incursions into rural areas of Damascus and Quneitra provinces, according to our correspondent. Troops entered the village of Beit Jinn in the Damascus countryside from bases in the Mount Hermon area (known in Arabic as Jabal al-Sheikh). The Israeli unit, consisting of several armored vehicles, set up a checkpoint to search passersby.
Another Israeli force reportedly advanced near al-Manatra Dam in central Quneitra province, accompanied by infantry and additional military vehicles.
