Al-Hasakah, northeastern Syria – U.S. forces stationed in Syria’s northeastern province of Al-Hasakah have raised their state of alert in anticipation of potential Iranian attacks targeting military bases in the region.
According to a report by Radio Monte Carlo on Saturday, the U.S. military had increased its readiness over the past several days, following the escalation in hostilities between Israel and Iran.
The report added that U.S. bases across northern and eastern Syria were preparing for possible missile strikes or drone attacks that could be launched by Iran or affiliated Iraqi militias.
Notable activity has been observed at U.S. bases in Al-Shaddadi, Khirab al-Jir, and Rmelan in Al-Hasakah countryside in recent days. The heightened activity reportedly includes moving armored vehicles, transporting logistical equipment, reinforcing air defense systems, and intensifying aerial reconnaissance using helicopters and drones.
U.S. bases in Syria have recently intercepted aerial attacks, successfully shooting down several Iranian missiles and drones. One major incident involved a large missile that crashed in a village near the town of Al-Hol in Al-Hasakah province.

While Fox News reported earlier that six U.S. B-2 Spirit stealth bombers departed from Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri toward Guam, likely carrying GBU-57 bunker-busting bombs capable of destroying fortified nuclear facilities like Iran’s Fordow complex.
Later that day, U.S. President Donald Trump announced on X (formerly Twitter) that U.S. forces had struck three Iranian nuclear sites in what he called “a very successful attack,” claiming that the Fordow nuclear facility “is gone” after dropping a full payload of bunker-busting bombs.
UN Secretary-General António Guterres condemned the U.S. strikes on Iran, calling them “a dangerous escalation in a region already on the edge already on the edge” and “a direct threat to international peace and security.”
In a statement, Guterres warned, “There is a growing risk that this conflict could rapidly get out of control – with catastrophic consequences for civilians, the region, and the world.”
In response, Iran launched a barrage of missiles at Tel Aviv on Sunday. Iranian missiles directly struck areas in central and northern Israel, with Israeli sources reporting that around 30 missiles were launched toward Tel Aviv.
In Iran’s first diplomatic response, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated on X that “the United States has committed a grave violation of the UN Charter, international law, and the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty by attacking Iran’s peaceful nuclear installations.”
