In a previous statement published on Facebook, the ministry said that Israeli forces had conducted an incursion into the village of Beit Jinn in the Qatana area of the Damascus countryside.
The ministry noted that the Israeli force, which advanced into Beit Jinn, consisted of tanks, armored personnel carriers, ground troops, and was accompanied by unmanned reconnaissance aircraft.
The Israeli force carried out raids and arrests targeting several civilians, which resulted in the detention of seven individuals and the killing of one person, according to the Ministry of Interior’s statement.
The ministry added that the Israeli army transferred the detainees to its military positions in the occupied Syrian Golan, pointing out that their fate remains unknown.
The Ministry described these repeated provocations as “a blatant violation of Syria’s sovereignty and a clear breach of international laws and conventions,” stressing that “such practices will not lead the region to stability and will only bring further tension and unrest.”
