Homs, western Syria – Intense clashes erupted yesterday, on March 16, between the HTS-led Syrian Military Operations Command and Hezbollah fighters near the city of Qusayr, along the Syrian-Lebanese border, according to a military source speaking to +963.
The source confirmed that the Military Operations Command deployed significant reinforcements to the battle zones against Hezbollah on the border.

Loud explosions were heard in Qusayr following the outbreak of clashes. The Syrian forces reportedly targeted Hezbollah positions in the Lebanese town of Al-Qasr, in the Hermel region, northeast of Lebanon.
Earlier yesterday, the Lebanese Army discovered the bodies of three Syrian soldiers along the Lebanese-Syrian border after heavy fighting in the area.
Lebanese media reported that individuals dressed in Syrian military uniforms had engaged in clashes with Lebanese tribal fighters in Al-Qasr.
The Lebanese Red Cross transported the bodies of three dead fighters, along with other injured individuals, to hospitals under the supervision of Lebanese Army units.
Following the discovery of the bodies, the Lebanese Army deployed additional forces to the area and launched an investigation, according to local reports.

Meanwhile, Syrian local media pages mourned the three fallen soldiers, claiming they were killed in an ambush set by Hezbollah fighters on the Syrian-Lebanese border.
