The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) reported on Monday, March 10, that allied forces loyal to the Ministry of Interial in the interim Syrian government, are responsible for the killing of civilians in the Syrian coast region.
The SNHR reported that allied forces, comprising military factions as well as Syrian and foreign fighters, were responsible for the death of 396 individuals during recent clashes in the cities of Tartus and Latakia.
Speaking to Al-Arabi TV, SNHR also revealed that 383 persons, including 211 civilians, were killed by the Assad “remnants” in the same cities.
The Syrian Network for Human Rights has documented a total of 779 deaths since March 6, in the Syrian coast region during the clashes between the newly established Syrian administration and the forces loyal to the Assad regime.

Meanwhile, the Syrian Civil Defence Group known as the White Helmets, announced earlier today that it had recovered 45 bodies from the conflict zones in western Syria.
According to the White Helmets, 39 of the bodies were found in Banyas, a rural area in Tartus, while one body was recovered in Tartus city, 3 others in Latakia, and 2 bodies were found in the city of Jablah.
The White Helmets emphasized that only bodies they recovered were officially documented, through operations conducted in coordination with the authorities. Recoveries took place based on reports of bodies’ locations, according to the Syrian Civil Defence.
The Spokesman of the Syrian provisional government’s Ministry of Defence, Hasan Abdul Ghani, announced the end of military operations on the Syrian coast.
According to the official Syrian news agency (SANA), Abdul Ghani said, “We declare the success of our forces thanks to God and the determination of our men, in achieving all the specified objectives of this stage.”
