Al-Hasakah
On Tuesday, 80 families left the Arisha camp in the countryside of Hasakah governorate, north-eastern Syria.
According to the official website of the Autonomous Administration in Northern and Eastern Syria, The families relocated to Deir Ezzor Governorate, the home region of most camp residents.
The Autonomous Administration stated that the camp’s management facilitated the departure of 471 individuals, comprising 80 families, to return them to their areas of origin.
This marks the second group to leave the camp this year, following the departure of 58 families in February.
On February 11, the Autonomous Administration initiated efforts to relocate Syrian families from Arisha camp, which houses approximately 2700 families, mostly from Deir Ezzor governorate.

A camp administration official told +963 that 58 Syrian families, consisting of 305 Deir Ezzor individuals and its surrounding areas, had voluntarily begun leaving the camp.
According to the official, the departures align with a came administration plan allowing families to leave if they wish, particularly following the fall of Bashar al-Assad.
In February, international Human Rights Watch (HRW) warned that U.S. President Donald Trump’s decision to suspend foreign aid had negatively impacted camps in Syria.
The HRW’s report stated, “The suspension of foreign aid will worsen the situation in both the Roj and Al-Hol camps in northeastern Syria”.
The organization also emphasized the urgent need for countries to repatriate their nationals the families, women and children, of the ISIS members who remain in camps in northern and eastern Syria.
