They urged pressure to lift the siege on Suwayda, ensure delivery of essential services, and reopen roads connecting the governorate to other parts of Syria.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They stressed rejecting any attempts by the Syrian government to consolidate autocratic rule, linking any European support for Syria\u2019s reconstruction programs to respect for human rights and minority protections.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Furthermore, the MPs demanded support for the constitutional process and the conduct of free and fair democratic elections at the earliest opportunity.
